Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Expert with a specialization in cloud technologies and data infrastructure to join our team. This role involves optimizing and managing large-scale data processing and analysis, improving data architecture for product integration, and implementing secure, scalable cloud solutions.

Role Objectives

• Optimize and oversee the processing and analysis of large tabular data sets for predicting risk zones in water networks.
• Improve and maintain the data architecture to enable smooth communication between different products, ensuring real-time database updates and model adjustments.
• Collaborate closely with development teams, data scientists, and infrastructure teams to integrate machine learning solutions effectively across the product ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Database Architecture and Management: Design, optimize, and maintain high-performance databases, with deep knowledge of Postgres. Ensure data security, integrity, and availability.
• Cloud Expertise and Automation: Utilize AWS to develop and maintain secure, scalable cloud solutions. Implement automation practices to enhance system data efficiency and reliability.
• CI/CD and IaC: Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and deployment. Use Infrastructure as Code to efficiently and reproducibly manage infrastructure.
• Software Development: Program in TypeScript and/or Python to develop and integrate data processing solutions and machine learning models.

Job Description

As a Senior Data Scientist with a strong focus on data engineering at Leakmited, you will play a pivotal role in our mission to reduce water losses within the national network. You will be responsible for applying artificial intelligence at every stage of the leak detection process to optimize our efficiency and environmental impact while also being capable of setting up a data stack on AWS.

Your tasks?

• Design, develop, and deploy advanced artificial intelligence models to analyze data related to potable water management and identify potential losses.
• Establish and maintain a robust data stack on AWS, managing extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) pipelines to process and store data efficiently.
• Explore and exploit large and complex datasets to extract actionable insights and relevant findings.
• Work with cross-functional teams to understand customer needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Actively participate in research and development of new data analysis methodologies and predictive modeling techniques.
• Ensure data quality, model validation, and performance evaluation to ensure the reliability and accuracy of our solutions.

Your profile?

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, data science, statistics, or a related field.
• Relevant professional experience as a Data Scientist, experience in AI model development, and complex data processing algorithms.
• Proficiency in tools and libraries commonly used in data science such as Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, as well as expertise in data management on AWS.
• Practical experience with cloud tools and services, preferably AWS, for model development, deployment, and management (SageMaker, EC2, S3, etc.).
• Proven ability to transform raw data into actionable insights and effectively communicate complex findings to non-technical audiences.
• Team player, creative thinker, and passion for solving complex problems.

Your tasks ?

We are looking for a senior full stack developer to join our team. You will be part of the product team and you will interact with both the AI team ut also with the operational team on the field to improve leakmited's product to fullfull its mission.

• Develop, maintain, and expand front-end and back-end code frameworks and tools, and continuously improve code quality and development efficiency
• Continue optimizing the technology, improve platform’s ease of use and user experience
• Deliver high quality AI products to clients’ hands on different platforms: Web, Mobile, API
• Interact with the AI, the operation-team and the leak detection network to make proposals on how to better deliver our products to our clients
  

Your profile ?

Can do” and customer-oriented mindset with:

• 5+ years of experience in software development, a good experience in a Full-Stack position
• Able to work independently, creative thinking and able to adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with Cloud services in production environments, AWS in particular and services like Vercle/Netlify
• Good Programming skills required: JavaScript / TypeScript, HTML, CSS/Tailwind,
• Knowledge in NodeJS, PostgresSQL, Docker, Terraform/AWS CDK, Git
• Knowledge in SvelteKit or SSR techs are highly desirable
• Familiar with agile or kanban processes
• Knowledge in Linux, including security and file systems
• Knowledge in OpenStreet Maps or KML formats are desirable
